Are you organised, have several years’ experience in practice and want to work in a growing, innovative and supportive accountancy practice in York?
We are looking for a highly organised individual to assist in the management of a diverse portfolio of owner-managed clients. The successful candidate will have several years experience in public practice and be able to efficiently and professionally deliver our services, continuing to build a strong client relationship.
Key skills and experience the candidate will require include:
Preparation of year end accounts, tax returns (company and personal), VAT, CIS, payroll, and company secretarial services in a timely manner to avoid missing deadlines and to over-deliver on promises provided by our business to clients.
General day to day correspondence concerning client affairs including contact with third parties such as HMRC, Companies House, banks, IP’s, solicitors etc.
To be the primary point of contact for general client queries and be pro-active in the delivery of services, help and advice to clients.
Offer advice on accounting systems and best practice.
Willingness to seek out better ways of working and the confidence to change.
Knowledge of the issues that can affect a diverse range of business sectors (e.g. trades, retail, and leisure, consultancy)
Highly developed organisational and time management skills
